Meet the makers: Art from Trash
As part of Art from Trash, SLT & Resource Cooperative are bringing together artists to share with you their skills and ideas to turn trash into treasure. Share and gain practical skills and get inspiring ideas on how to make useful and artful objects. Bring anything you would like to turn into a treasure and the Resource Cooperative will also kindly donate supplies. $12 members & $15 non members, wine & cheese included.

With heating and hot water bills soaring over winter months it's time to get a check up from the energy experts. We can provide advice on the best things to do and referrals to great installers. Calling Sustainable Living Festival volunteers
Volunteers are the glue that holds our Sustainable Living Festival together. We are currently seeking Program Assistants and Coordinators to help in the lead up to and during the Festival. Volunteering for the Festival is a rewarding experience and as this event continues to grow, we need a team of creative and enthusiastic volunteers to help us make it happen! This year’s Festival is on 31st Oct & 1st Nov, let us know how you can be involved.

Tasmanian film premiere: Just Eat It
Film night: A Modern Build Tasmania
This is a local independent documentary by Flowing Image Productions. Asante is a Passive Solar House built strongly around Feng Shui principles with a 9.2 Nathers Energy Star rating. The home was awarded the Most Energy Efficient Residential Build in 2014 from the Master Builders Association. The screening will include a bonus short film: 'Tasmanian Story' Bob Clifford (Incat) and a Q&A with the doco maker Alex Palmer. Join us at SLT on Wed June 17th 6.30pm – 8.30pm. Tickets: $12. Wooden Windows Workshop
Who else is doing great stuff out there?
Learn how to make a soil improver from leaves, weeds, kitchen peelings, spent crops and manures. Fourteen day hot composting, worm working, sheet composting, mulch making and value adding. David Stephen, will be mixing his magic as a fund raiser for a new greenhouse for the Creek Road Community Garden. Come and learn the tricks of the trade on June 21st 11-1pm at the Creek Road Community Gardens (next to 42 Creek Road). $10 waged, $5 others. Enquiries: David 62278390
